North Al Sharqiyah Governorate

The Guest of Honour at the 2025 Muscat International Book Fair is the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate. This recognition highlights the region's rich cultural heritage, historical significance, and contributions to literature and the arts. The governorate's dedicated pavilion showcases its local culture, history, notable figures, scientific and humanitarian achievements, tourist attractions, and aspects of modern life across its various wilayats.

The pavilion features an AI-powered platform to promote the governorate and a children's corner dedicated to the Omani identity. The governorate is organizing 15 diverse events, including seminars and lectures on literature, sports, education, and tourism.

The 29th edition of the Muscat International Book Fair runs from April 24 to May 3, 2025, at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. It hosts 674 publishing houses from 35 countries, offering visitors a diverse range of literary works and cultural experiences.
